New Muni Web Site

The MTA launched a new web site today which consilidates Muni and the DTP into a single web site.

For being the main Muni web site, it says remarkably little about Muni, in fact it doesn't even mention what services Muni offers on the home page, nor if you link to "Transit" does it provide any useful information on the main transit page.

Here's something fun to do, try and find how to buy a parking permit.

They welcome feedback, but I doubt we'll see much change.

This site feels like it is 10 years old, not to mention how impossibly hard it is to find relevant links.

I think Mena is dead on. As someone who will get a hotel room outside the city and take BART in to the city, usable Muni site is important to me. The F car doesn't take me everywhere I need to go in the city. Plus I only like driving in the city, if I'm on a Vespa or a motorcycle.

Do they have a mobile version of this site? With smartphones being under $100 these days, they should. I could not find it on the site.

Does Muni have bus tracker? Seattle area buses (Metro) can be tracked via the web. So I have real time bus information for specific stop or bus. So I can do something else than wait at the stop, if the bus is running late. On a suck weather day, this means I can stay warm or dry longer.
