Punish Google for Running Prop 8 ads

done.
Hell no!

I do *not* want Google in the business of picking and choosing which political ads they're willing to run and which they won't. The principles of free speech and equal access are far too important to me.
Then don't block them. If Google wants to pick and choose political ads, that's their decision as a business, what they shouldn't do is flood the sites of their customers with political ads one day before an election with no effective way of blocking them (adding a domain or keyword to the blocklist takes 24-48 hours) and which are directly opposed to the stances taken by their customers.

Google is free to keep their policies just as we are free to say their behavior is unreasonable by blocking their ability to profit off discrimination.
I agree that they seem to have a need for better blocking tools.

I wrote more extensively about this elsewhere, because I've run into the same sentiment in several places over the last couple of weeks. The synopsis is that I don't think Google should be in the business of picking which political messages I see.
