QotD: My Musical Horoscope
What's your musical horoscope? (Put your music player on shuffle and write down the first 10 songs that come up.) Inspired by Stephanie.
So what exactly is this supposed to predict? Does the number of broken up bands say something about my future?
1. Faraway Swimmingpool by Múm
2. Going Through the Motions by Buffy the Vampire Slayer (from the musical episode "Once More, With Feeling")
3. Acoustic Guitar by The Magnetic Fields (not one of my favorites, I actually don't really care for about half of their 69 loves songs)
4. Wicked Little Town covered by Ben Kweller, Ben Folds and Ben Lee (the Tommy Gnosis version of the song they did for the Hedwig tribute album "Wig in a Box" I like their version a lot more than the original)
5. Nobody Does it Better covered by Radiohead (the theme song from James Bond film "The Spy Who Loved Me")
6. Single File by Elliott Smith (I have this album on both CD and vinyl, when I hooked up back up a few months ago, it was the first album I played)
7. Dancing Queen by ABBA (I don't even like ABBA)
8. If I Ever Leave This World Alive by Flogging Molly (yay for irish punk!)
9. Chimbley Sweep by The Decemberists (if this were longer, song 12 would have been 16 Military Wives, which I absolutely love)
10. Where is My Mind? by the Pixies (I've got something like 6 versions of this song. I guess it was bound to come up)
