What are some of your favorite, forgotten albums that have stood the test of time?
Submitted by PeterGibbons.
Pulp's Different Class is another I ussually listen through all the way. A few songs it it begins to feel like a night spend rolling on ecstacy. First coming on with Disco 2000 and sharing all kinds of emotional stories. Sorted out for E'z and Wizz is a sort of overview halfway through, Underwear is the really great post-roll/comedown sex. Ending strung out the next day with Bar Italia.
It's been a really long time since I've had a really fun night high on E, I'm going to put Pulp on.
What's your musical horoscope? (Put your music player on shuffle and write down the first 10 songs that come up.) Inspired by Stephanie.
So what exactly is this supposed to predict? Does the number of broken up bands say something about my future?
1. Faraway Swimmingpool by Múm
2. Going Through the Motions by Buffy the Vampire Slayer (from the musical episode "Once More, With Feeling")
3. Acoustic Guitar by The Magnetic Fields (not one of my favorites, I actually don't really care for about half of their 69 loves songs)
4. Wicked Little Town covered by Ben Kweller, Ben Folds and Ben Lee (the Tommy Gnosis version of the song they did for the Hedwig tribute album "Wig in a Box" I like their version a lot more than the original)
5. Nobody Does it Better covered by Radiohead (the theme song from James Bond film "The Spy Who Loved Me")
6. Single File by Elliott Smith (I have this album on both CD and vinyl, when I hooked up back up a few months ago, it was the first album I played)
7. Dancing Queen by ABBA (I don't even like ABBA)
8. If I Ever Leave This World Alive by Flogging Molly (yay for irish punk!)
9. Chimbley Sweep by The Decemberists (if this were longer, song 12 would have been 16 Military Wives, which I absolutely love)
10. Where is My Mind? by the Pixies (I've got something like 6 versions of this song. I guess it was bound to come up)
What are your three favorite album covers of all-time? Any honorable mentions?

Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band has to be in there. The cover's collage offers hours (depending on what drugs you might be on) of fun to look at. Can you find Waldo?
Radiohead's OK Computer, one of the best albums of all time, is a very different sort of collage. Where the Beatles had celebrities and world leaders, Radiohead's cover pulls together pieces of everyday life. Not happy pieces either. A motorway is a dreary sight, but has a bigger impact on our lives than Marylin Monroe.
And for a third, I'll just say Neutral Milk Hotel's In the Aeroplane, Over the Sea, which is also one of the best albums ever. The cover is a perfect companion to the album. On the surface it seems completely nonsensical, but I can't help the feeling that it, like the lyrcis holds some deeper meaning.
